Franklin County is looking for a motivated professional to oversee Jail operations at our 500 bed facility, which includes developing and implementing policies and programs as well as managing a team of over 120 employees. The Warden is a key stakeholder in the criminal justice continuum and is expected to work collaboratively with county and court departments to provide high quality services efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will be a visionary, servant leader and familiar with corrections. They will enforce Jail policies and deliver evidence-based programs to achieve successful outcomes while fostering a positive team environment, making the Jail a place people want to work. Bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice or related field required. Attendance at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections’ Basic Training Academy may be required. First aid and CPR preferred. Minimum seven years working experience in Criminal Justice field, including three years at the management level, or any equivalent combination of training, education and/or experience.
